A new category of these modified protein derivatives is grain silicon protein copolymers. In these copolymers a silicon chain is chemically fixed to a protein chain. This new copolymer of vegetable origin, interweaving among the scales of the cuticle, gives birth to a complex polymeric structure which cements the cuticle surface. The scales of the hair shaft which come into contact with this copolymer contained in BES HI-FI, are closed and strengthened when seen under a microscope. The colouring pigment therefore which has gone into the hair is not released.
